About

History

My journey into digital began in 2010 when I first built a website to help my parents’ struggling business.

While studying Multimedia and Digital Arts at Monash University, I started freelancing by hand-coding websites from scratch for $250 a pop for clients I found on Gumtree.

Since then, I’ve spent over a decade designing digital experiences across a range of industries—from small startups to large enterprises and digital agencies. Over the years, I’ve helped more than 300+ businesses to solve problems, grow and prosper.

During my spare time I enjoy learning about finance, investing, real estate, current affairs and spending time with my wife and son.

Motivation

The first digital experience I ever designed was for my parents, and it taught me everything about why this work matters.

My parents spent over 20 years in physically demanding jobs. They always dreamed of opening an Asian antiques store by the time they turned 50, when their bodies started to slow down.

They achieved that dream, but after the initial excitement, it became clear that foot traffic was low and hope was slipping away. I watched their pride turn into quiet worry. They started opening the shop later, closing earlier. We went out to eat less often, and they began watching every dollar carefully.

As a teenager with some basic design and coding skills from school, I decided to help. I built them a simple website and applied what I knew about SEO, back when the internet was less crowded. Slowly, more people started showing up. They made sales. I watched their energy come back.

That experience shaped how I see design. It is not about user flows, pretty designs or going through the motions of the 'end-to-end' process. It is about real people, real businesses, and the real-world impact we can make.

I carry that with me in every project. How can I create more value than just fulfilling a brief? How can design uplift someone’s day, business, or even life? When I mentor designers, I always try to help them see this.
